Transaction History

The transaction history screen contains a list of the forms that you have used in the current file or that you have specified to be included in the current file. The purpose of the transaction history is to serve as a reminder of what forms need to be completed or printed for the file. From the transaction history screen, you may also create groups of forms that can be used in the future for any file created by the user. You are not required to use the transaction history in order to fill-in and print forms; you could simply navigate to any form via the Select Form menu, and print forms via the print selection screen (File|Print/Preview/PDF).
Each file that you create has its own transaction history. There are three ways to add a form to the file's transaction history:
1) AUTOMATIC: When you make an entry into a form or when you print a form, the form will automatically be added to the transaction history for the current file;
2) MANUAL: When you start a new file, you can manually add one or more forms to the transaction history before filling in the form. To do that, click Tools|Transaction History. Then check the box next to each form that you want to use in the current file; and
3) SEMI-AUTOMATIC: If you previously created a forms group (See Groups of Forms), you can select the entire group of forms to be included in the transaction history.
To view the transaction history of the file you are working on, click on Tools|Transaction History. The forms that are contained in the current file's transaction history will be marked with checks next to their names. If you would like to add or remove forms from the transaction history for the current file, check or uncheck forms as needed, then click the Set Transaction button.
The data that you enter into the blanks of forms is not saved with the transaction history. The transaction history simply saves the list of forms that you have used. To save the data you have entered into the forms, you should save your file.
If you want to print all or some of the forms that are contained in the transaction history for a file, display the print selection screen (File|Print/Preview/PDF), then click the Group that says "All Forms Used in Current File".
