Clause Library and Special Stipulations
Use the Clause Library to store your own commonly used clauses, phrases or paragraphs and insert them into blanks in forms that are used for additional terms.
In some form libraries, the Clause Library also comes furnished with pre-entered standard clauses, phrases or paragraphs that you can use. These may be referred to as special stipulations, standard clauses, standard paragraphs or additional terms.
To use the Clause library, navigate to a multi-line field for additional terms or special stipulations, or to an addendum, then click on Clause Library under the Tools menu. From there you can choose an existing clause or add a new one to the library. Clauses that you add can be modified later.
The Clause Library also allows you to edit existing standard clauses.
If you attempt to edit a standard clause that was furnished with the forms library, you can save it as a custom clause with a name that you assign to it. When you edit a standard clause, the edited clause is saved as a new clause: editing a standard clause does not modify or replace the original standard clause.
